This design is based on the Spitfire “DL-J” (Serial W3122) flown by Jean Demozay of RAF 91 Squadron. Jean Demozay (March 21, 1915 - December 19, 1945), was a French fighter pilot who distinguished himself during the Second World War. Nicknamed “Moses" (or "Morlaix”), he was credited with 21 enemy aircraft destroyed and five probable, in over 400 operational sorties, which made him the third French ace of the Second World War.
Jean Demozay was killed on December 19th, 1945 when the NC.701 Martinet in which he was flying back from London crashed at Loges en Josas, 12 miles SW of Paris.
